Mr. David E. Elhard, President/Founder



 Dave received his Electronic Engineering Technology diploma from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in 1987 and his Business Administrative Diploma with the University of Calgary in 1992. After completing his formal education at SAIT, he started work with Q-Tron Ltd., a manufacturer of locomotive monitoring and control equipment where he gained 13 years of electronic manufacturing and management experience. While at Q-Tron he served as Production Manager as well as Engineering Manager.


 Mr. Elhard joined Turnkey Solutions/Electromec in 2000 when it was still a small company of about 10 people and contributed to its significant growth to over 120 people through his involvement with personnel, manufacturing, purchasing and quality improvement. During his time at Turnkey/Electromec he served as General Manager, VP of Purchasing/Planning, VP of Manufacturing and VP of Engineering.


 In June of 2004 he left Electromec to start IMS, Innovative Manufacturing Source Inc. after seeing a need for a new alternative in Contract Manufacturing in Western Canada. Since starting IMS he has built a tremendous team and experienced growth in terms of customers, sales and equipment far beyond his expectations.



Mr. Stuart Henley - VP of Business Development


Stuart received his Telecommunications Technology diploma From Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in 1988. After completing his education at SAIT, he started work at Pelours Navigation Systems , a manufacturer of Distance Measuring Equipment (DME) used for the aeronautical industry and part of the ground landing systems used at airports around the world. He worked in the manufacturing division and served as a Technologist as well as the Technical Production Manager.


In 1998, Stuart found Turnkey Solutions Inc.  In the role of President / CEO he grew the business to 120 personnel and sales in excess of 6 million in less than 4 years. In 2002 Stuart was instrumental in the merger between Turnkey Solutions and All New Manufacturing to create Electromec Inc. with 250 employees and a manufacturing facility of 115,000 square feet, creating a one stop manufacturing facility for Electronics and Metal Fabrication. During his time there he held positions of Vice President, COO and Director.


In 2004 Stuart resigned from all positions at Electromec Inc. and joined August Electronics Inc. as the VP of Business Development. During his time with August, he grew the personnel from 40 to 160 and sales over 800% in his 7 year tenure. During his time as the VP of Business Development, August made the top 200 fastest growing companies in Canada 3 times in Profit Magazine.


In 2012 Stuart joined Innovative Manufacturing Source (IMS) and once again teamed up with his old friend Dave Elhard (President / Founder of IMS) as the VP of Business Development. Stuart brings his knowledge and experience to work with the IMS team to aid in building a world class Contract Manufacturer in Calgary.  His experience fits the continued growth plan and further strengthens the commitment by IMS to create manufacturing excellence and unparalleled customer satisfaction in Western Canada.




 Mr. Tony Sauve - Production Manager / Process Manager


Tony joined IMS in May 2013 the role of Process Manager.  Hailing most recently from British Columbia, Tony spent most of his "formative" years in Lethbridge where he gained valuable manufacturing experience with Novatel.  He served as Process Engineering Lead for more than 10 years with Creation Technologies where he lead teams through the introduction of new technologies - including 0201 production to RoHS-compliant soldering processes and various box build inititives.  Most recently, Tony has also added Production Manager to his responsibilities at IMS.


Tony and his wife Robin have returned to Alberta to be closer to family and for the kind of lifestyle afforded here.  His boys are very active and share their dad's passion for hiking, skiing and biking.
